Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out retrofitting works on existing buildings, including insulation, airtightness measures, ventilation upgrades, and energy-efficient systems installation.

  • Assess existing structures and collaborate with surveyors or project managers to determine suitable retrofit solutions.

  • Prepare, cut, and install new materials such as insulation boards, membranes, or cladding according to technical specifications.

  • Safely remove outdated systems, fixtures, or materials in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

  • Install or upgrade building components (e.g., windows, doors, heating systems) to improve thermal efficiency and overall building performance.

  • Perform air-tightness testing, sealing, and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Position Overview
Scottish Builders is seeking a skilled and experienced Builder to join our construction team based in Inverness. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering residential and small-scale commercial building projects across the Highlands. This hands-on role requires sound knowledge of construction methods, the ability to work from technical drawings, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project plans to determine construction requirements.
